Federal University Birnin Kebbi commends rescue of 24 school girls, reaffirms solidarity with Kebbi Government

The Management of Federal University Birnin Kebbi (FUBK) has expressed relief at the successful rescue of the 24 students abducted from Government Girls Secondary School, Maga, in Danko/Wasagu Local Government Area.

In a message to His Excellency, Dr. Nasir Idris (Kauran Gwandu), the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Muhammad Zaiyan Umar, described the abduction as distressing but noted that the safe recovery of the girls reflects the swift and coordinated efforts of the Kebbi State Government and security agencies.

Prof. Umar commended the decisive leadership of the Governor and the commitment of the security forces, stating that their actions have restored hope and reaffirmed confidence in ongoing efforts to protect communities.

He rejoiced with the families on the return of their children and prayed for the girls' full recovery.

The University reaffirmed its support and solidarity with the State Government in all efforts to strengthen peace and security.
